Humans are always doing things they don't like doing. In fact, to my best estimate, at any one time only point three percent of humans are actively doing something they like doing, and even when they do so, they feel an intense amount of guilt about it and are fervently promising themselves they'll be back doing something horrendously unpleasant very shortly.
Your choice is not about going back to the way things were. Your choice is about hiding, or about going right to the heart of the thing that scares you.
My mom told me once that when you're afraid of something, what you want more than anything else is to make it go away. You want your life back to the way it was before you found out that there was something to be afraid of. You want to build a high wall and live your old life behind it. But nothing ever stays the same. That's not your old life at all. That's your new life with a wall around it.
Sometimes people come to a moment where they think they've found that one last chance to be someone else. And they go for it. When it doesn't work out, they spend the rest of their lives looking back over their shoulder at what might've been.
From the backstabbing co-worker to the meddling sister-in-law, you are in charge of how you react to the people and events in your life. You can either give negativity power over your life or you can choose happiness instead. Take control and choose to focus on what is important in your life. Those who cannot live fully often become destroyers of life.
Das Problem [...] ist die öffentliche Wahrnehmung, was man als Grüne tun darf und was nicht. Ökobrot backen ist okay, in der Wirtschaft tätig zu sein nicht.
Time is priceless, but it’s Free. You can't own it, you can use it. You can spend it. But you can't keep it. Once you've lost it you can never get it back.
I do get a sense sometimes now among certain young people, and this is accelerated by social media, there is this sense sometimes of: "The way of me making change is to be as judgmental as possible about other people - and that’s enough." Like, if I tweet or hashtag about how you didn’t do something right or used the wrong verb, then I can sit back and feel pretty good about myself, cause, "Man, you see how woke I was, I called you out!' [...] That’s not activism. That’s not bringing about change. You know, if all you’re doing is casting stones, you’re probably not going to get that far. That’s easy to do.
You ever read the Bible? I read it one time. I was eight years old. My daddy had just got hisself killed over a shot of whisky and my mama said we were going back East to start over. So, she gave me a Bible, sat me down at the train station, told me to read it. She was gonna get our tickets. Well, I did what she said. I read das Bible from cover to cover. Took me three days. She never came back.
Finding someone you love and who loves you back is a wonderful, wonderful feeling. But finding a true soul mate is an even better feeling. A soul mate is someone who understands you like no other, loves you like no other, will be there for you forever, no matter what. They say that nothing lasts forever, but I am a firm believer in the fact that for some, love lives on even after we're gone.
If you look back in history It's a common double standard of society The guy gets all the glory the more he can score While the girl can do the same and yet you call her a whore
