We all change. When you think about it, we are all different people all through our lives. And that's okay, that's good, you gotta keep moving, so long as you remember all the people that you used to be.
You fall, you rise, you make mistakes, you live, you learn. You're human, not perfect. You've been hurt, but you're alive. Think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive - to breathe, to think, to enjoy and to chase the things you love. Sometimes there is sadness in our journey, but there is also lots of beauty. We must keep putting one foot in front of the other even when we hurt, for we will never know what is waiting for us behind the bend.
Life is like trying to swim on a stormy day. Most of the time you just fight the waves and try to breath, but the brief moments where things calm down you look at the sky and see the beautiful rays of sunlight escaping the clouds. And that is the most beautiful thing you have ever seen. And it just makes you think "One more time. One more fight". Because this is worth it.
I often think that the night is more alive and more richly colored than the day.

My teacher used to say, "Stay in beginner's mind. Never leave beginner's mind," because in beginner's mind, the possibilities are infinite. They're open. Anything can happen. You're open to learn anything you need to learn. If your view of something needs to change, you're open for it to change. No matter how deeply you have seen something, no matter how much you think you know something, stay in beginner's mind. Don't get rigid. No matter how great a revelation you may have had, no matter how great an opening in the core and depth of your being, if you stay in innocence, in the mind that's very light, that never takes its ideas as truth, then there will be a much greater potential for your thoughts, as well as your communications with others, to be naturally inspired.

Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we.
I love people who make me laugh. I honestly think it's the thing I like most, to laugh. It cures a multitude of ills. It's probably the most important thing in a person.
