Warum gebraucht Gott den einen Pastor mehr als den anderen? Wenn du zwei Öfen hast, von denen einer heiß und einer kalt ist, auf welchem würdest du deinen Tee kochen?
“I feel that God made my body perfect the way I was born. Then man robbed me, took away my power, and left me a cripple. My womanhood was stolen. If God had wanted those body parts missing, why did he create them? I just pray that one day no woman will have to experience this pain. It will become a thing of the past. People will say "Did you hear, female genital mutilation has been outlawed in Somalia?" Then the next country, and the next, and so on, until the world is safe for all women. What a happy day that will be, and that's what I'm working toward. In'shallah, if God is willing, it will happen.
Past and future are myths. The past is just the present that has died and the future will never exists anyway, because by the time we get to it the future will have turned into the present. The present is all there is. The ever-moving, ever-changing present. And the present is fickle. It can only be caught by letting go.

We can spend our lives letting the world tell us who we are. Sane or insane. Saints or sex addicts. Heroes or victims. Letting history tell us how good or bad we are. Letting our past decide our future. Or we can decide for ourselves. And maybe it’s our job to invent something better.
Every morning, we get a chance to be different. A chance to change. A chance to be better. Your past is your past. Leave it there. Get on with the future part.
Close your eyes and dream a dream an seek the courage to make it real reflect on the past, envision the future and embrace today with an open heart and soul
People come home for a lot of reasons. They come home to remember. They come home because they’ve got nowhere else to go. They come home when they’re beaten. They come home when they’re proud. They come home looking for a door out into their past or a road out into their future.
Sometimes the past needed to stay buried; it was the only way you could move on. And sometimes you had to dig it up, because that too was the only way.
Of course I miss you sometimes. But I learned a long time ago that missing you doesn't bring back the person you used to be and it doesn't bring back what we used to have. I guess some things are meant to exist only in the past.
The only difference between the saint and the sinner is that every saint has a past, every sinner a future.

Never look back at your past, unless you're going that way.

An Mauerwände kann man keine Pastelle malen. Ich muss also den breiten Pinsel nehmen.

There comes a point in your life when you realize who matters, who never did, who won’t anymore, and who always will. So don’t worry about people from your past, there’s a reason why they didn’t make it to your future.
Es gibt so viel Verstellung und Maskerade, es ist wie ein Wunder, dass die Welt nicht auseinander bröckelt wie eine Pastete, die zu lange im Ofen gewesen ist.
How can you sleep at a time like this unless the dreamer is the real you. Listen to your voice. The one that tells you to taste past the tip of your tongue.
If any one faculty of our nature may be called more wonderful than the rest, I do think it is memory. There seems something more speakingly incomprehensible in the powers, the failures, the inequalities of memory, than in any other of our intelligences. The memory is sometimes so retentive, so serviceable, so obedient; at others, so bewildered and so weak; and at others again, so tyrannic, so beyond control! We are, to be sure, a miracle every way; but our powers of recollecting and of forgetting do seem peculiarly past finding out.

Reflect on your present blessings, of which every man has many; not on your past misfortunes, of which all men have some.

Look not mournfully into the Past. It comes not back again. Wisely improve the Present. It is thine. Go forth to meet the shadowy Future, without fear, and with a manly heart.
Sometimes it feels like I'll never go past here Sometimes it feels like I'm stuck forever But I'm going higher, closer to my dreams I'm going higher and higher Sometimes you just have to let it go Meaning all my fears to burn down
I think I found the answers but the answers always wrong My first love was my true love and it should have been the last The only time I'm happy is when I'm dreaming in the past
Next time you fall in love It better be with me the way it use to be but then was when we touched the starlight
